It may seem challenging to keep your child's teeth and gums healthy, but with the help of our office here at Jungle Dental, it's much simpler than you might imagine. Pediatric dental exams and cleanings, just two times per year, go a long way toward preventing cavities and periodontal disease.
If this is your child's first time visiting our
Baldwin Park pedodontist, we do everything we can to make a good first impression on him or her, and on you the parent. Our office environment is pleasant, friendly, and fun. She or he will have an opportunity to meet everyone and to become familiar with the equipment and instruments that are used here. Doing so eliminates possible anxiety. Fortunately, an exam and cleaning is a painless process. First, our
Baldwin Park pedodontist visually inspects his or her teeth and gums, along with physically checking. The goal is to find any loose teeth or fillings, if applicable, as well as signs of early stage gum disease, typically redness and irritation. X-rays provide an up-close view of what's going on inside your child's teeth, such as the first signs of tooth decay. Small cavities filled in a timely manner will head off the chance of those cavities growing larger, which would bring with them a greater risk for toothaches and infections. Kids' baby teeth should fall out on their normal schedule not extracted due to advanced tooth decay. It is with cleanings, though, that proactive and preventive care comes into play. Early stage gum disease is reversed, while tartar buildup and any residual plaque are eliminated. Future tooth decay and gum disease become less likely to occur.
It's never too early to schedule your child's next exam and cleaning. Contact our office right now and book a time for her to see our
Baldwin Park pedodontist.
